T-Rex Facts - Question 2

T-Rex Facts - Question 2

The answer to Dinosaur Facts - Question 1

Which of these contemporaries of T-Rex was not a dinosaur? Dakotaraptor, Edmontosaurus, Tylosaurus.

Dakotaraptor was a dromaeosaur dinosaur that was bigger than a grizzly bear. It has been described as the 'Ferrari Predator' of its time because it could probably run at 50 to 65 kilometres per hour.

Edmontosaurus was a large, plant-eating hadrosaurid (duck-billed) dinosaur. They lived in herds, and they have been described as the 'Cows of the Cretaceous'. Weighing up to 4 tons they were of course much larger than cows.

Tylosaurus was a marine reptile and not a dinosaur. It was one of the largest mosasaurs living in the relatively shallow Western Interior Seaway. It weighed up to 7 tons, which was lighter than T-Rex. However it was probably longer then T-Rex.
